So whats the difference between a phase 1 and phase 2 f7p cylinder head?

cts or summink?

and aslo you know the solid metal coolant pipe that comes outta the head can i get a new one or is it something i cant get anymore because mines rusty!

yep, CTS and Temp Sender (for dash) are mounted on the head for ph1 and on the thermostat housing for later heads which then also means the thermostat housing and where the ICV is mounted are also different.

the later heads had the cam carriers bolted down with torx head screws not hex head

dialogys says there are two different metal pipes, the difference between them is where the pipe goes into the head, one has an outside pipe dimension of 20.6mm and the other is 19.6mm

Part number for 20.6mm version is 77 00 741 651 @ £33 + VAT
Part number for 19.6mm version is 77 00 850 904 @ £29.18 + VAT

just get the thermostat housing off a ph2 and bolt it on, it replaces that stupid metal pipe youre having trouble with.
