5 GT Turbo Chinese Ebay Conrods

Hey hey,
I'm wondering those chinese H beam conrods from ebay:
Conrod Connecting Rod Rods for Renault Super 5 1.4 Turbo GT ARP2000 Conrods CRC
is that something or are the originals better, anyone got experience?

They will be truly , I dont know how to put it in dutch , but shit is the word I was looking for in English.

The ones for the meg are shockingly bad.

Been tested on the megs by Paul. Utter shite mate.

Give John Law at JL Engineering a ring, great guy who does a lot of Turbo 2 high power engines. He had a few sets knocking about a while back - worth a try - they won't be rubbish ones he uses them in big power builds 250bhp plus with no problems.

I bought a set for an f4r. They were no different from the catcams I have in my engine of my little brothers wossner he has in his r26.

They were all within 0.1grams of each other and I couldn't see any issues with them at all.

I spoke to @Brigsy about this. Paul tested them over 2 years ago and honestly , the tolerances and variations were miles out. Could not use them without further work. They could quite easily have changed since then !

Yeah maybe mate, quite a few people had a look at them and all were of the same opinion. They're in an r26 that made 316bhp 340lbft the other day at RS tuning so will see how long they last

Ahh old thread, I never responded to with results, shame on me....

I have the cheap ebay conrods in (Maxpeedingrods CR-REN-128 )
and they are doing a great job!
