Well folks, what can I say??? Jay really is the uk version of Foose design lol. The turn around Jay did on my car last week was quite literally amazing. Anybody who knows half of what goes into spraying a car to a superb quality just wouldn't argue that fact.

It was only 2 weeks ago I very briefly chatted to Jay about how unhappy I was with the cars presentation. It really did look in a sorry state with some ill fitting panels, 3 or 4 different colour silvers on it and some nasty paint runs. Jay responded by telling me to get my ass up to his workshop so he could sort it for FCS 2010. To begin with I told him to shut up as I very VERY much doubted he would pull it off considering the small time scale. He promptly assured me it would be, gave me his word and said "See you next saturday then!"...............so I did!

The saturday came and it was time to drop my car off and meet Stevo, Deano and Naso at Jays workshop. With in minutes of being there I instantly knew the car was is good hands. Stevo's car was in front of me and it was bloody stunning. My jaw hit the floor when I see it and instantly realised I'd be over the moon if mine turned out only half as good. Jay again assured me it would and again I didn't believe him

Sunday went and a crappy work day followed. However, come lunch time on the tuesday my spirits were soon through the roof when I recieved a piture on my phone with a front wing on it..............painted in Nocturne and looking stunning!! I couldn't believe it. At this point it really hit home that there was a very good chance of it being done for the saturday. Fully understanding that he had an awfull lot of work infront of him to get mine as well as Deano's done I told him not to break his back over it and go abit easier on himself. Although I really wanted to attend FCS it wasn't critical but the french trip was. Once again though, Jays reply was..."Don't worry it WILL be done!"

With FCS looming on the saturday Simon and Shaun were staying at my digs for a shorter drive over to Rockingham the following day. Luckily however, Mr Patchall being the friend he is offered to run me up to Birmingham to pick the car up. After an hour or so of being in one of the best sounding cars Ive ever sat in we finally arrived at Jays.

WOW!!! I was absolutly, 100%, catagorically, gob smacked!! The car looked 2,000,000,000 times better than I ever hoped for and Jay the cocky sod said "It's just paint". He might be right but not everyone can do what he did in 5 days with such detail and quality. It really is superb.
People usually walk around there cars and find faults with whats be done. For the last 24 hours however I've walked around it and found bugger all other than suprises about how good the paint is in places that 99% of the time is never seen. For this alone, I can not recommend Jaytec Racing enough!!

Before...........

and after........

Huge thanks to Jay and his partner Gary

Thanks fella's. Am realling looking forward to adding the final few finishing touches now. Fingers crossed the wheels will be on it in a day or two.

It's good to see you back in lurve with the car Brett as you had lost a bit of faith a while back ...

What made you go for the colour ? - it does look very good in the photos :approve:

From what I was told apparently it was the original colour for the car but the idea got scrapped for some reason so was done in iceberg silver instead. Swiss cheese for a brain me! Lined up against my black/gold you can tell its not black but subtley different. You will see it on Friday :)

I suppose there were a couple of reasons why I went with the colour. First one was because I wanted it to look a little more subtle on the road once the bigger spoiler etc is fitted. Secondly the colour has a little bit of history as far as the Clio V6 is concerned. A member of Renault Sport approached me yesterday and told me there is only one in the world and thats bubble wrapped in a room some where...............now there's 2 lol James also said the same thing.

Testement to Jays paint work, I had the managing director of Sayers paint approach me in a retail car park yesterday. He walked over to say the car looked stunning and if I ever needed touch up paint or anything else he'd be more than happy to supply it for such a special looking car. Sayers is one of the biggest and most well known paint suppliers in Northamptonshire.

its truely stunning.. i really couldn't believe how the colour changes in the light..

as both myself and brett know.. jay is truely an amazing guy.. i'm sure he doesn't sleep..

big respect goes to jay and garry for what has been done to the cars.

i know if i lived in the top of scotland i'd still get my car to jays for the body work. distance is nothing if your after this kind of work..

Brett, that is simply stunning!
I know where I will be taking my vee next time I need some re-spray work done! :approve:

Brett, looking great in the photos and I know how this car looks when the sun shines, from the Aventime so must be even better in the flesh.....
....think the tints may be overdoing it though.......just a personal opinion.

No your quite right Mark, the plan is to remove the rears and match them to the front.

Is this colour similar to the one the Nissan Skylines come in - I have always liked that aswell ? Never heard of this Renault colour - they kept that quiet ...

Martin

I liked the way some of the French owners descended on it and wanted to see under the bonnet to see if it was a genuine factory painted car ... So a thumbs up from them given they needed to do this to tell :approve:
