Bleeding Help

Hello all,
I have just managed to find a new clutch master cylinder(due to helpful advice on here) and have fitted it successfully. However I need to bleed the clutch at the slave cylinder end.
There is a plastic T joint that the hydraulic pipe connects to at the gearbox and it has a bleed nipple.
However when you unscrew the bleed nipple no fluid comes out - even though the clutch is still just about operational.
Does anyone know if the metal clips on the plastic joint need to be removed or what needs to be done. Please see attached photo.[album]23020[/album]

Use a pressure bleeder./ easibleed ect .

And make sure your brake/clutch fluid tank is full up to the brim before starting the bleeding otherwise the level is not above the clutch bleed nipple and it will keeps getting air.

Thanks for the responses. Even when fully removing the nipple nothing comes out. I pressurised the system from the reservoir and removed the hydraulic line that can be seen connecting in from the left. That managed to allow lots of crappy old fluid to bleed through. The clutch then worked perfectly for about an hour. The pedal then lost resistance again. I think it must be the slave cylinder allowing air into the system. The slave cylinder is in the bellhousing. Oh dear!
Car may be being transported towards Swindon in the near future.....
At least slave cylinders are readily available , unlike the master cylinder.

Check the floor for fluid, it's a pressurised system when your foot is on the pedal so if air can get in, fluid can get out, and that can give you an idea of where to look. Before now I have jammed the pedal down overnight on a car to see if it lost any fluid or lost pedal resolution.

Have you lost any fluid in the res?
