Since 2001 my daily driver has been a car provided to me by the company for use whilst on business and I've had a selection of typical diesel dog REP cars during this time (including VW Golf, Ford Mondeo's, BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 & A6's) whilst I worked in various sales roles in the Plastics Industry since I started working in 1991
(Jesus I'm getting old now..!)
I fancied a change after many years in the same industry, so in February 2018 I took a leap of faith and joined a totally different industry as a Sales Manager. In this role again I was provided with a Company Car and this time it was an Audi A4:

Nice car, and given it was the 190 BHP Diesel Auto version, it went very well also! However it wasn't an estate, and I much prefer an estate car as you can fit so many more Renault parts in the boot. So I negotiated with the company to buy me an Audi A4 Avant. The specification was finalised, and this was what was ordered after i'd passed my probationary period in the new role:

That car was ordered in Summer '18 and and expected in early winter.
Anyway I won't bore you with the detail, but it eventually came to pass that I would opt out of the company car scheme, and take the money and free choice of what Car I should have instead!! With that news, I was straight on the internet looking at options, and within a fraction of a second, I was on the Renault website!! #dedicatedtothediamond
First I was thinking to get myself a Clio 4RS, but then I realised it would just be too small for me. Next thought was to order a new Megane RS Trophy for delivery sometime in '19... but then I had a rush of sensibility wash over me and realised I didn't want to punt all of the money on a new car that would depreciate like a stone AND if my sums didn't work out, would cost me money. Therefore I kept looking at very quickly found this:

2017 Renault Megane GT with 15K miles, 2 previous Renault owners (Demo and Employee) and VERY NEARLY with the MAX Option package including:
Alcantara Heated Seats with Blue accent:

Auto Gearbox with Flappy Paddles (The car is basically a Clio 4RS with a bigger blue suit. Same engine and running gear)

Panoramic Sunroof

Bose sound system:

And Radar cruise control:

By my reckoning, the ONLY option it does not have is the automatic parking feature!
