Hmmm.. good question Mr Ewok!
Nearly 3 weeks since my accident this Sunday, and I’m now back home.
Still no movement or control of my right arm, it’s as floppy as a wet dishrag, and I’m learning how bloody difficult it is to live with one arm. Simple things like opening things or putting toothpaste on a brush turn into major head scratch sessions.
My arm is still painful, and whilst I’m trying to get out and have a little walk every day by the time I get back home I have to get Sarah to rub my shoulder blade with a massage gun, because I’ve now got a massive knot in my right shoulder blade which gets really aggravated and painful.
As a positive I must say the support I’m getting from friends, family, colleagues, ex Colleagues and acquaintances has been truly amazing!! I’ve had friends from London and the Netherlands turn up at the door out of the blue, and lovley supportive messages from friends and even people I’ve not spoken to for over 5 years wishing me well!!
It’s still an unknown what happened on the day of the Accident, the police continue to be saying nothing, and I have lodged a complaint with them as they have not done half of the things their pledges say they should be doing. Therefore I’m in the process of getting lawyered up and follow up with the driver.
Everything is still hinging on my appointment with the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London on 9th October where I’m told they should be able to do more tests on my broken arm to see if any fixes are possible??
Getting a bit stir crazy as my days are all rolling into one…. Wake up in bed, shower then downstairs to sofa, then in evening, back up to bed for the night…
Mind you I did push myself outside yesterday to put one of my Clio’s battery on charge, so that was a little highlight….!
