Anybody with any American car scene contacts?

I need to source a Chevy LS series engine for my next Renault project and wondered if anybody had any contacts on the American or Aussie car scene? Monaro VXR LS3 is the sort of thing I'm looking for but anything considered.

Yes just engine, low mileage used preferably, was going to get a crate engine from the states but they're not the bargain they once were thanks to the shit exchange rate. $6k which I could live with , it's the duty and 20% VAT on top I can't :0(
