Be interested to see how a blind map works though ? You would surely have to take it there to be mapped ?

Its just a base map to get you fired up and to the rollers. The 172 ecu is up to the job with the efi box, from what i gather the limiting factor is 225 injectors can only be used.

225 ecu and wiring would be a bit of a fuck on, coil on cylinder etc. No idea if crank trigger is the same. Might aswell stick the full engine and box in to go with it
 
hmmm true didnt think of the coip setup too. had similar ideas about using the bosch ecu many moons ago, the one off the 1.8t vag cars. super tuneable. For ease itll prob be the box of tricks to start with. Much past low boost and the rest of the car starts falling apart around it lol
 
Found a few spare min to fit one of my fav cheapy clio mods, scenic shifter swap. I still need to sort a gearknob out. A little more difficult than normal as ive not fitted one to a car with the cat fitted so that needed removing to make space. I also added a little extra spacer to remove a little extra renault slop. More a personal touch thing to make the car a little more individual, some may like itbsome may not. Ive seen similar on some of the modern polo gtis i think. Ultra Red wing mirrors, so keeping it a renault colour, not the best rattle job but no where near the worst. Still need to sort a splitter out and get the tires swapped on then i can give the wheels another dusting of grey to freshen them up a touch.

not sure im feeling that. red wheels will look more mc donalds than what im currently likening too , clubsport....
 
Too many different colours on the car with the red mirrors for me.

no more than any other car on the road really i dont think. the red i think breaks it up a little but without being massively in your face

first time ive seen one up close and very suprised how small they are. The last td04 saw was off the td04l off a wrx that went on the c1j clio, that was alot bigger than this im sure

I am not 100% sure but I think the Subarus are a HL body, not a L
 
Good how technology has come on with them then. From what i can tell they have very similar power potentials, i expect this will be on boost quite early on the 182 engine with the twin scroll setup
 
They can flow balls out on a good day wind behind you thrashing it to within an inch of its life 295BHP.

Normally its 280ish.

The twin scroll means super power early in the range.

im wondering if itll be alot less noticeable on this as itll be low boost anyway? what sort of pressure do they hold on megs at 7k?

They hold fuck all really at high rpm on the megs. Mapped limiter is 6800 and on shez’s it drops to 0.7-0.8 bar from memory from 1.4bar peak.

It will still be sound for low boost 172 should work fine, what will it need 6psi or so ?
 
I think my last one ran 7psi for 230ish bhp on a t25. So if it can hold 7psi right at the top ill be happy i think
