[8 May, 2015] 30 years of the 5 GT TURBO (in france) (Route de Bourges)

The proposition Turtuur made for the RTC is to meet up between Breda and Antwerp to convoy to La Chatre, however i noticed on our way we come near Calais so if we plan carefully we could drive in a big mofo convoy towards La Chatre www.rtoc.org_boards_images_new_smilies_biggrin.gif

wen will be book and send al the paperwork to the frenchies .

Hi Marcel,

I got confirmation from my dear wifey that she can get the holiday next year, so we're a go! :dance.gif:
We need to figure out where the Frenchies are camping, and need to try and find a hotel somewhere near that i suggest? :read.gif:

Don't forget to add on the costs of the toll-roads. I've just come back from Orléans (which would be en route to La Chatre) and that was toll-roads all the way from/back to Calais.

When the charges come through, I'll edit/update this post.

hi lads,

would be great to have you onboard for this trip!
as Marcel suggested, maybe we could meet up halfway and convoy together?

my thought was to meet up around Arras but if toll would be more gentle around the left hand side we could always choose to take that route and meet up somewhere sensible, if you guys are up for that ofcourse?

i'm also organising this for rtoc so let me know how you feel about joining up, last thing i want is to initiate a clash between the two clubs.

I don't know if the camping is on site but if it is i prefer to go camping, had a great time at FCS too, accompinied by some beers and regular banter!

Ring won't be an option i guess as it almost never opens on Monday, unless you want to head there on Sunday but i'm affraid you will be too late.
If it does open on Monday i'm more than happy to join you!

Anyway, please let me know how you feel about all this so i can start arranging something. As you've experienced the Frenchies are as informative as always :S

i'm affraid the 9 won't make it mate, going to break it at the end of the month.

just don't have the time to do it any justice due to other commitments. also have a 5 which i restored 5 years ago which has been tucked away for too long.
going to proceed with that one as it's a waste now....

just had a look on Michelin routeplanner and i don't think we will convoy together, you're route will be double the toll for us and also 100km out.
our route will be double the toll for you so it's not really sensible to do. could arrange a convoy for you with the RTOC lads though.

we'll keep in touch!

Trying to get my car built for this but even if it's not in will be going in my friends gt. So from my end hopefully I'll be adding two gt's to the list but failing that Atleast 1.
