3 Door 5 Campus

I like Las Vegas one, can't remember what it's called ...........they always stack about four turbos on an old cummins diesel engine to make a thousand horses and fit it into a bedframe with stacks on it......a skull for a gear stick and raccoon's pelvis for a steering wheel....

Just remembered Sin City Motors....

New fuel pump sorted 'high' speed issue, clocked 85 easy enough, bigger wheels have raised gearing a tad, as speedo is about spot on to GPS, usually they over read a bit.
Last on original list was centre of bottom screen repair, I didn't want to take screen out, so welding was out of the question, it was only a scab......but it's never that simple.
Bit of scraping and gentle grinding with multi tool left this. I cut seal back a little to get to clean metal.

Plan was chop all pitted out and epoxy panel bond a section in, with all grot gone it would be a sound repair, can also be cut again later in cars life if screen ever comes out and welded, but for now, bearing in mind cars value and intended use it was a gold standard quality assured bodge..

Bond a plate from underside with an overlap and wedge it in place against wiper mech

Takes a good while to cure properly, then I'll grind excess epoxy off and skim it with filler and blow it in with airbrush, find a bit of 'T' section to tiger seal into gap in seal, better than jam and ali mesh.............

Been busy stripping spare seats for re trim in little car and a started a long promised engine build for a mate, but also trying to bottom out jobs that have been waiting, so I can have clear decks for anything new that might pop up, so dry today, get lower screen are repair finished.
Already filled it and shaped and blown some primer on last week, let it all sink and harden off, guide coat, flat and another light coat on...

Scuff round it, cut original paint and then a couple of coats with airbrush, needs de-nibbing and a buff, but it'll look reet after.

Still runs spot, clocking up miles as a second car, no issues.

have you got pics of you re-trimming your seats?
They aren't for this, much older Renault, I've stripped them to repair frames, then taken to a trimmer as I'm changing interior colour, but he hasn't got back to me yet.
Engine build owner is pissing his pants about post brexit French supplier situation, so I'm trying to box that off and return to re trim soon as.

The legend that is @Brigsy sorted me with a GT wheel that fitted my need perfectly.......i.e super cheap and refurbed a treat.

Before, a fetching shade of green, luckily not prepped before it was painted, so flaky flaky...

But sound in every way, supplied complete with boss and centre, quick scrub with some hand soap and scrubbing brush, paint scraped off and flatted back.
Mask, etch, prime, flat and a drop coat of satin black and some black leather restorer left over from GTA Turbo interior treatment and voila!
Fookin tops !

Lad had been after one, but I kept it quiet and wrapped it up for his eighteenth, which was officially when the 5 car was his, don't think I've ever seen someone be so pleased to open a box with a secondhand Renault 5 steering wheel in it..........might start a trend, get missus a starter motor for Christmas.

Once again thanks @Brigsy ......I'm your biatch from now on....up to a point..

Umcha
Umcha
Umcha..............
Just over fifty sheets, bluetooth mechless Sony head unit installed, tech is so cheap these days, sounds OK with tat speakers, up to him if he wants to upgrade.
Doesn't seem five minutes since I was spending Chrimbo building Lego for him........

I'd fitted some GTT Ph1 struts and springs earlier this year, having set the rear bars according to the spec to GTT height, but possibly due to the campus bars being softer and the front of campus being lighter, it sat low at the rear and a bit high at the front.
I'd bought some 250mm lowering springs which were sloppy on the Campus struts so ditched them for the GTT set I'd bought.......so today I tried the 250mm springs on the GTT struts......still sloppy so I wasn't keen, but I'd got them stripped so thought I'd see what it drove like on them and looked....

Looks good, drives shite.......... but they at least need to fill the strut on droop.......which they don't, so think if these lowering springs are 250mm and GTT are 350mm, I probs need to go 300mm same rate as GTT.
If anyone's got anything close or can point me in direction of lengths of particular lowering brands that'd help, otherwise I'll go custom.

Below is standard PH1 GT, just a bit too high

I asked soft cock this morning if he wanted to wash his car, as Camprust is dirty and unloved......" I'm not driving it so see no point" ....came the reply....
So I thought I'd at least do something on it.
There's fuck in all in this car, not even a clock or temp gauge, I'd bought some pikey ebay gauges some of which had gone into iddy car, but had a temp gauge left with sender,
Long story short......took blank out where clock should be, made a surround, feck me a bit of loom hidden there.....earth....SW live and pos when lights on for backlight...boom
Blah blah m14 to m10 adapter from JJC got sender in pump, some jumpers off OE plug to gaugeIMG_1329.webp
New sender wire so it can all go back if gauge shits itself
Stat seemed to be opening about 85 on gauge, and fan came on at 105ish, so it ain't a million miles offIMG_1332.webp

Total outlay about 15 sheets, bosh, I'm happy, he says it's awesome.....
