40 BHP Funky
60-70 BHP Fun
180 BHP..... Well you'll need to find out, won't you
I've got some Dizzy info if you can find the curve no stamped on the Body usually an R no. Like R248
cheers

180 in this would frankly be scary, id want a roll cage for sure.

ill check tomorrow for some markings

Managed to get an air filter setup sorted. Opted for a ramair carb filter with a blank base plate. Cut it to suit the carb and bish bash bosh it's on.

Bled the heater matrix the gave it a few more miles. All seems good so far. I do have an oil leak from the fuel pump so may need to knock up a couple of new gaskets.

When given a prod it'll step out when pulling away and has a new found ability to accelerate up hill! Still chuffed.

I think the later block has a run back at the fuel pump to the sump. It's a popular leak spot. Early fittings are 2 bolt later ones are 3 I think..... Got a Dizzy number?

All I can see on there is Ducellier 4145? I'm not sure if there's more written on it against the head but id have to rotate it all or remove it all see, which I'm scared to do lol.

4145 is the Body number common to lots of cars, not just Renault. C usually is the vac unit type. Any idea where the Dizzy came from, car wise

it was on my original 1108cc engine that came with the car, could have been swapped at some point though

I'm not going to lie, today probably wasn't the best day to do a decent test drive. I get up and leave the house by 5.25am, it's dark, today was very cold and the car is untested... apart from having a bit of a slide on a corner and having ice on the inside, it was great 😁 no major issues to report, one headlight has died and I think it needs another bleed as the heater doesn't seem as good as it was but 40 miles complete 💪🏻

The return home was an eye opener though, same corner I had a little fun on, there one car on its roof and another facing the wrong way in the hedge completely stoved in.....

I have another dizzy here with some sort of sensor setup, I've not had an issue to want to remove the old unit yet though.

I'm already thinking of some better front brakes, and a want for a 5 speed box or a longer 4 speed, and an LSD and a roll cage and more power and better seats and a smaller steering wheel and its never ending 😭

Ducellier points Dizzys are pretty good if it's all in good order. they only start to have issues at very high rpm, nothing to worry about at present, Points get a bad rap cause of Lucas Dizzy's, but even they are good if they are in good order.
Better brakes are easy enough, just some brackets to make, box more involved/expensive
When they are right they are dynamite old things and will see off loads of more exotic stuff. If you know you know and, of course you don't know what you don't know.
Modern stuff has lost it's way in tech and massive weight.
To paraphrase Chief Engineer Scott.

As Steve Swan said when there right they are dynamite , never felt the need for better brakes tho i have got uprated pads braded hoses and the bigger bore master cylinder . Did have ideas of fitting a servo but never did and when pushed hard enough will stand on its nose quite well :) . Gearbox wise is were i gave up :( as it seems the people who used to make the parts like uprated driveshaft couplings and gearboxes no longer do or thats what i was told when i last spoke to the person . Also interested if you do find a way over it .

I have braided hoses fitted but haven't found any options for better brake pads? Found the brackets to adapt to slightly bigger discs, with later callipers which then give more options for pads too.

Steve Swan will be able to help with the box if not point you in the right direction
