probably? Theres no probably about it they Do operate the same.
The coolant, take the hoses off, there will be crud in them, trust me I hate working on GTT's for this reason. Small bore hoses tend to just clog totally
Should have done the column like I said, someone will have leaned on it or punched it and caused the slip joint to move. I see it all the time.
Chris, like I said, the bush at the top of the column was replaced very recently, the column was taken out to do so and the person who did it obviously clamped up the UJ pinch bolt before setting the clearance between the wheel and the cowl when they put it back in. Was fine when I first saw the car and nobody has punched it or leaned on it since.
chemical metal/old bean cans would have brought the thickness back up
TBH the thickness is pretty wimpy anyway 8 - 8.8mm new and min specs seem to range from 5mm - 7mm
By that answer I assume no backplates were there then.
Theres 3 options on the 19's, plastic backplate (my hatch) metal backplate (my chamade) no backplate 80% of the rest it seems.
All 19's have the provision for them and the holes for the ABS sensors, but I'm sure I done a 5 ones and there was no ABS sensor hole or backplate mounting points
Yeah they are good, I mean the paint is a bit rough as you'd expect but they are fully sound. They are in a box at the moment, keep meaning to stick them on, dont remember why I left them off actually.
