probably? Theres no probably about it they Do operate the same.

The coolant, take the hoses off, there will be crud in them, trust me I hate working on GTT's for this reason. Small bore hoses tend to just clog totally

Should have done the column like I said, someone will have leaned on it or punched it and caused the slip joint to move. I see it all the time.

Chris, like I said, the bush at the top of the column was replaced very recently, the column was taken out to do so and the person who did it obviously clamped up the UJ pinch bolt before setting the clearance between the wheel and the cowl when they put it back in. Was fine when I first saw the car and nobody has punched it or leaned on it since.

Oh, forgot to say also, I'm pretty sure the ignition barrel is the same as the clio one, which is nice!

So on the lookout for a full clio lockset and working plip now!

I'd have just skimmed em and stuck em back on tbh.

the locating lugs a common fault, I have seen cups etc with original pads like that from the factory

was there no backplates at all or were they rotten or no provision for them? Out of curiosity this btw

chemical metal/old bean cans would have brought the thickness back up

TBH the thickness is pretty wimpy anyway 8 - 8.8mm new and min specs seem to range from 5mm - 7mm

By that answer I assume no backplates were there then.

Theres 3 options on the 19's, plastic backplate (my hatch) metal backplate (my chamade) no backplate 80% of the rest it seems.

All 19's have the provision for them and the holes for the ABS sensors, but I'm sure I done a 5 ones and there was no ABS sensor hole or backplate mounting points

Yeah I just realised what you meant before opening the thread back up.

No, they weren't there, didn't think to look if there were lugs, I'll get a photo tomorrow.

My 19 has metal ones.

no need it was just out of interest really, to be even sadder with ren knowledge!

Your metal one sin good nick? mine are almost mint, the plastic ones on the hatch have touched the disc so a bit melted/rough.

Most are pretty rotten if there are there at all

Yeah they are good, I mean the paint is a bit rough as you'd expect but they are fully sound. They are in a box at the moment, keep meaning to stick them on, dont remember why I left them off actually.

send them off with some gear off the 11 and get em powder coated.

You interested in any of these anti-perc fans I have?

whats left to be done on the 11 anyway?
