11 t u r b o

Yeah I'll take an anti perc fan!

I'm going to be doing some other work on the 19 as well soon, will get a few other bits off for powder coating, towing eyes deffo need sorting.

11 still needs something done with the drivers seat bolster
I've flushed the coolant system through a couple more times and it's still orange. just going to keep doing it until it goes relatively clear.
I want to change the clutch and cable at some point cos its heavy and stiff
I have TREs and ball joints to go on tomorrow
Paint is dull and needs some elbow grease to bring out the shiny shiny!
Get the sunroof fully closed
Bit of welding at the front, same issue as your grey 19

some muppet jacked it in the wrong place and as a result its rotten out?

Why the hell can't people take care with other peoples property?

Towing eyes on my chammy need done badly, they really let it down. I got 3 of the rear eyes bolts free'd off but the 4th was ready to break, I don't think i have a cage for a replacement. I am also unsure do I get them done oe black or 449? You don't have that issue!

a track rod end cant be a fail on an mot if it has a split boot only an advise, unless it has play of course, but it all depends on the tester :o

Balljoints, split gaiters are not a failure, neither is rust. If there is definate movement in the joint then thats a failure, movement is normally checked with the wheel off the ground so the joint will be loaded and takes the play out of the equation.

driveshaft give me specific measurements, I have about 20 driveshafts here from all sorts of renaults.

getting the outer back on is indeed tricky.

Line up the rollers and it slides in, then you need to get the spring clip on which means you need 3 hands.

I found that getting one bit in, then sticking an extension in then doing the same with the next I could then get the 3rd in, I bent a screwdriver to enable me to pull the clip up

Is CV grease special for some reason, or can I just use normal LM grease?

edit: What I mean is I know 'proper' CV grease is molyslip type stuff, but I dont understand why it needs to be.

moly content but i've packed them with gen purpose and they have been fine, even on commercials, oftem LM grease says for high loadings such as racks and cv's anyway

don't go to mental when filling with new stuff, thats why you only get a wee sachet with the kits

btw I haven't forgotten about your perc fan, I just haven't been able to get at them!

Use a jubilee clip on the gaiter as it'll be off in no time./

i'll dig out the perc fan this weekend
