Yo. Newbie with a 19 16v phase 2.........

Hey all, how's it goin?

Just bought myself a phase 2 19 16v and was pointed in the direction of this site as the best source of info and help.

I'm from Hinckley, Leicestershire and have owned several other 19 16v's and clio's over the years. No pictures of them though as digital photography wasn't invented back then haha.

I look forward to talking more with you guys in the forums.

Theyve been off, it was lovely under there!

The guy that I bought it off was restoring it and its all been treated underneath etc. :lol:

you wouldn't of seen me as it was at the roundabout far end an you headed towards town i was heading back towards Desford, an i was in my fiesta. my 19 in a unit strip as replacing an welding new floor pans in, and having more new parts on it, next out be engine an gearbox out,

The drivers seat is pretty worn, ripped and repaired.

Quick question - how do I know if the car has abs or not?

I just tried to order a spare clutch cable ( I know what they're like for clutch cables) and they needed to know if its abs or not.

Seriously though... if it has ABS, you'll see the ABS modulator unit mounted to the chassis rail on the passenger side under the coolant bottle. 4 brake pipes coming out of it etc.

greetings! your not far from me either mate! wer did u buy ur 19, was it local. hmmm perhaps all us in the leics region should meet up for cruise some time! i had same trouble wi clutch cable, reg brings up abs model, but from i can gather its been removed! ud see the abs servo unit if it was ther under th coolant bottle, if ur unsure its likely u aint got abs, or like me its been removed by a previous owner!

Nah, mines not got leather. I think I prefer the cloth seats anyway to be fair. I'm up for a meet anyway. I need to get more involved.

your same as me, im not a leather fan.. iv got cloth 1's iv had for abt 2 years an not even fited them yet lol, an there in not to bad of nick,

just turn up to meets ot club shows the members are sound..
