White Smoke!

The engine is smoking white smoke. From its smell it looks like burning oil and it is not vapour.

The coolant level will stay the same.

The engine will smoke only:
When hot (normal running temerature)
during acceleration (no smoke when idle)

What can cause this white smoke please?

By the way, its a Megane with K7M 702 engine (1.6e)

Thanks

Mario

no, just the top.

Head Gasket Kit
Valve Guides
Cleaned Every thing
New Water Pump
New T-Belt Kit
New Spark plugs
Grinded Valves
New Camshaft seal
New Oil Filter
New Oil

All the above are Renault Genuine Parts from Renault Dealer!

The idle is perfect and even the engine it is running perfect, but when it goes to the normal temp, it will start smoking. But will still work fine.

I can smell oil being burnt.

I also removed the exhaust, and it still smoke.

Also, it will some times smoke less.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your help.

Will do a compression test and check the difference between cylinders.

Could this be a cracked cylinder head? Since it is burning oil only when it is hot?

Thanks

Mario

Today i did a compression test to the engine.

The result is: 180PSI (+/-2psi difference between cylinders)

Also, it looks like the smoke has stopped now.

What can cause this please?
