Considering quicksilver omg is 600 new and orbisoud sounds a million times better I'm happy!

I wouldn't buy a brand new Quicksilver OMG unless it come free with 8ft plole and a sexy babe to dance around it 24/7 in my front room. Any silencer over £300 is a rip off imo. Like you say though, if your happy parting with alot and 100% happy with what you get thats all that maters for sure so fair play. :approve:

Just to throw a spanner in the works, has anybody de cated their car with a QS fitted? I know Stevo has with his Sport and that sound much better than my OMG. I thought it was less drony too. I'm pretty sure if you kicked a pair of cats out to touch with an OMG fitted it would be much better.

I have said it before, so i will say it again - Shauns exhaust sounded absolutely bloody awesome - sounded like a screamer pipe after 4000rpm's, it was crazy!!!!

But unfortunately sounded more like a tractor with its blown gasket. LOL


Also yes Stevo's did sound very nice - hence one of my new project's

You need a full decat for the max pops and bangs.

I LOVE it. So cool.

IMO if you can sort the MOT its well worth it over sports cats. They both light the emissions light why compromise.

Yep, get the cats off if you can. Completely different sound to the car.
Its awesome letting off the throttle and hearing a massive bang from the exhaust.
Full throttle screams and sounds even 'lamboie' through tunnels.

Well, I just got a Quicksilver OMG fitted. Biggest mistake I've made in a long time. Had a K-Tec on previously and fancied something louder but it is simply TOO loud for me. Enjoyed a run down to Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago, a three hour drive, with the K-Tec stil on and it was great. OMG now on and I cant go a couple of miles and my ears hurt. It's just ruined my enjoyment of the Vee and won't drive it now.

The QS will be getting taken off shortly and the trusty K-Tec is going back on and I will be able to fall back in love with my wee Vee.

Guys, if you've got a loud exhaust, I've got the solution! I just made myself soundproofing using dense foam, it goes under the top covers and makes a HUGE difference. I'm coming to the Renault World Series so if you're interested, I can happily put it in your own car as a demo so you can hear the difference. PM me for any details you need. I'll be selling them at £60. The foam costs around £50 for the amount used (the parts not needed cannot be used elsewhere).
