5 GT Turbo What Camshaft should I use in my EFI C1J?...

Now I know the easy/simple answer is Piper 285, but I want to use something from Cat Cams. My Engine Spec will be as follows:
  • Lightly ported Head
  • Alliance Inlet Manifold matched to head
  • EFI using MegaSquirt 1 running MSExtra (poss upgrade to MS2) and Ford EDIS wasted spark
  • OE Pistons
  • OE Rods
  • V2260 VNT Turbo (or maybe a full T25)
  • 2.5" Turbo back Stainless Steel Exhaust
So the question comes down to what Cat Cam profile to go for? (see below table).

I'd like to go for something a bit fruity! So I'd like either the 5500325, 5500326 or 5500327 (I know this isn't listed, but it does exist. Think 5500326+)
I'm going to use the car for some fast road work and some track days. Obviously I'd need a Vernier Pulley and some upgraded Springs.

All advice appreciated.

Whats it going to be used for matey? The 325, 326 and 327 would, I suspect, be pretty brutal for road only use where midrange is as important as top end, but if it's mostly a track bitch then yeah by all means.

Alliance Inlet Manifold matched to head

If you have this already, can I copy it before you fit it please? :)

Alliance manifold isn't that special tbh @DaveL485 , the Raider with the blue wheels had an Alliance manifold on.

@Woznaldo i would use ms2 from the get go and also use a vw ignition coil, edis is seriously bodging it, wasted spark coil is way easier!

If you remember what the Alliance MPI Manifold was designed to do, it was never about huge power. It was the only way Renault could get the Cleon Engine to meet the Californian emissions standards. What it does have is great runner lengths and plenum volume, which is a great starting point. I want to treat it to an Abrasive Flow port to open the runner diameter a little, but I'll try it in std form first.

I agree that MS2 is a marked jump forward in capability, but I'll probably continue with the MS1 as it's already fitted to the car running the ignition very successfully. At the moment it's about keeping the cost at a moderate level. I'm not sure I'll be able to afford the Cam either, but while the Engine is apart it would be rude not to?...

I think I might go with a 325 then! Does anyone know the best place in UK to get Cat Cams from? Obviously there are several companies listed as dealers on their site, but I'd like yo know those that were good to deal with, good price etc?

I'll add that I've always been impressed by Cat Cams engineering. A lot of people go to them for custom profiles and I haven't heard anything negative. If it all gets too hard, the 285 is my reserve.
