Uprated inlet gaskets

This is now in the 'The Traders Shop' - I am not a trader, I have just managed to source a way to get these made for a few people/forums as favours; however this was the only to post without signing up as a total member!

Cheers All

Quite correct. The Traders Shop is for traders and those with permission to sell such goods in quantity. (hopefully) :)

I know these gaskets keep the temp down, but does anyone have any say on how performance of the engine is effected?
I may be interested in a pair as they appear to be the same as the gaskets used on my engine (pug V6)

Thanks

Right folks - just to let you know the above posts are ridiculous and dont give a clear picture of the current status.

The green light was given at one point however on full fitting with the correct material (i.e. not template material) there is an issue with air leaks - these are on the manifold and not the plenum.

Nobody has said they wont issue a refund and nobody is putting their head in the sand - LOL - for gods sake after months of trialling why would we then give up on one little hurdle.

FYI Simon has come up with a good idea to get around the problem which we are looking to try and get resolved ASAP - literally within days not weeks.

We will be working together to sort this out ASAP and already Simon has noted that the plenum gasket alone makes a marked improvement.

No doubt someone wil reply to this post anyway but I would just like to add that this is not a case of trying to make a few quid regardless of who gets hurt. I put a lot of time and effort into these projects and take great pride when they are working and we have happy customers which I am sure we will have shortly.

The above posts show ill-feeling which is obviously fully unintentional - people I have made these for previously (106 rallye, clio 172, clio 182, clio williams, T5, GTIR) have been well impressed and just because i haven't replied within a very short period time to a refund request does not mean I am unwilling to do so! Rest assured the involved are now in full correspondance, have a clear picture of where we are at and we will be looking to get this sorted as of immedate effect!

Watch this space! :approve:

Thanks for the update, Ill be keeping an eye on this thread
I hope the others who have been upset about the matter have had their issues resolved now.

For the record everyone (as far as I am aware) is happy - we are in full flight once again with getting these right... basically the sealing issue is where you see the problem with the GDI photos - i.e. sealant to make them work... we dont really want to go down this route. Instead we are looking to perform magic on the material around the port/fuel holes so we will can install some kind of 0-ring set up to make a good clean seal....

Simon is looking to source these ASAP so thanks to him for that. :approve:

Will update shortly.
