Well seeing as the 21 sailed through the MOT ive got a bit of spare cash that i had put aside just in case.....
Was thinking about replacing the turbo, antone got any suggestions? what are people using on 21t's these days with good results?

if it aint wrong don't fix it! To be honest you'd be better spending some money on changing the down pipe and getting rid of the crappy waste gate setup

you arse!

PMSL..

IF your gonna do it make sure its running sweet first. Then look at the up grades. Before you upgrade the turbo I would sort the fueling out. It's a 20 odd year old car a desire on the fuel pump and a new pump wouldn't go a miss. Then look at the injectors, 355's as a basic upgrade. Then look at the boost side of things.

if you know someone that can weld it aint that difficult.
1x 3" Vband assembly (2 rings + clamps)
2x 3" 90? bend (3D bends, long)
40 cm 3" s/s pipework
1x bung for lambda (wideband) + one optional (always easy to plug in another wideband for a custom map)
1x 3" flex (s/s)
1x 3" to 2.5" (s/s)
1x 2.5" V band assembly (2 rings + clamp) to connect the downpipe on the exhaust

phuuuuh, cant remember exactly. It depends where you get the parts from. S/s bends aint a problem, flex and Vbands with loads on fleebay. And then a good welder. It maybe cost a bit but its a one-time investment, you dont have to look after it nomore.
