5 GT Turbo The winter project. EFI and lots more

Will be stripping the car soon to have the bodywork repaired and painted.
"Yellow" is looking rather sorry for herself after being assaulted at various tracks.

We will also be fitting EFI with a VNT turbo, Adaptronic ecu and Cossie intercooler .


Also hoping to loose some weight and by re fitting the Lexan plastic windows. Hoping to get car and driver close to 800 KG's

Mappable boost been added too? I'm thinking it will need it with that blower, otherwise it will be wheelspin central out of every corner

The boost isnt too violent with the VNT, plus you can tweak it to come in earlier or later ..

Yes that will be an option. The good thing about the VNT is you can decide when the boost comes in I'm told.

I think that might help you get round the corners a bit better, not that you need much assitance.

Good call, both on ECU and tuner. Couldn't be happier with mine, suggest you look carefully at the differences between 420d and Select... the extra cash for the select might be worthwhile. The plus being though if you go 420 (like i did) and then decide later you want to upgrade they use the same looms so you can unplug one and throw the other in

Well, nearly there, parts courtesy of Chris @ EFI Parts. Loom, sensors, ECU, trigger wheel etc.
Ebay............................Saab red injectors, FSE fuel regulator, Bosch 044 fuel pump.
Still to get, swirl pot, fuel lines.
Hope to make a start beginning of December.
