It would look better with a pair of fluffy dice, don't know where they've gone!! I called the police again but don't think they will reopen the case tbh

Loving this James.
Gav Allison has the F7P 1.8 16v in his Maxi but was a nightmare making a bell housing out of a Clio 16v and Turbo 2 hybrid, loads of welding and shaping to join the two.
F7R 2.0 doesn't fit as it is slightly taller and would need bulkhead and engine cover mods to fit which he wasn't willing to do.
Originally he had a Turbo 1 which was std engine but he made an inlet manifold with single throttle body and used a PWR chargecooler system. This in conjunction with Omex ECU and his own design of exhaust manifold and modern turbo made 207bhp at 10psi. It was absolutely perfect on the road and felt soooooooo much quicker than when it was std 160bhp on K-Jet.
Nothing was modded which wasn't easily reversible.
If I can find a pic I will add it to the post.

cheers fella...I thought about binning everybody's favourite OHV bit decided against it in the end. That is what I am aiming for - about 200 hp with EFI. I've got the kit just haven't sorted an inlet manifold yet. the engine is the 1397 cc with more or less all of the bits for the 200 CV kit I posted early in the thread (post #2 or Classic - Installation instructions 185-200 CV kits R5 Turbo/T2 )
proving I know jack about Mercedes...with the power figures you were quoting I assumed it was a boosted one. Normally I'd take the piss at this point due to lack of turbos but I've just got a NA 3 litre Subaru Legacy & it's not bad at all
