I have a hotel room booked to attend on Sunday but plan to be without Vee because I want to bring my 2 boys. I was really looking forward to seeing you all.

Please correct me if I’m wrong:
Given the Covid-19 pandemic appears to be hitting countries hard at different times - doesn’t that mean it’s impossible for F1 to calendar plan for 2020?
Given Silverstone Classic is essentially ‘bumming a lift’ off the British GP - surely that makes it impossible to hold?

Yes Kett, COVID-19 is playing havoc with the scheduling of many a motorsport event. The simple answer is we do not know and need to take it as it comes. The organisers of Silverstone Classic have provided updates on how they are planning on dealing with it. The last update can be found here: UPDATE Note that all further updates will be posted in that thread.

Resurrecting this thread since we have received notification that plans are afoot for Silverstone Classic 2021. :race:

I received the following communique from the organisers, so looks like we will have an outing to this super event that we can look forward to if COVID related measures are not going to prevent attendance that is.

"We are delighted to welcome you to The Classic, 2021 and confirm that your registration and all member bookings have been carried over to next year. 2020 has been an unprecedented year for all of us and it was with great sadness that we had to cancel the event. However, we are all set to make our return in 2021 and we very much hope that your club will be joining us over the last weekend in July/first weekend in August next year.*

*Please note: our provisional dates are 30 July-1 August. We look forward to confirming these in early December, once the FIA have met to ratify the F1 calendar for 2021."

However, before I go any further and create a new thread on this, can those of you who purchased tickets for the 2020 event please post 'YES' if you elected to carry forward your booking to 2021, and if you elected to take a refund instead post 'NO'. Thanks.
