I’m going to book my tickets tonight. I will be in the Lunar. I’m trying to bring the Tom Wilkinshaw Iliad Ph1 and a Mars Ph1. Would a nice R26.R be welcome on the stand?
Sounds like a good plan. :approve:

Are you planning on bringing all Vees at the same time or planning on swapping cars around over the 3-day period? The Lunar and both Phase 1s will be most welcome, and if they are available on all three days then that will be even better. So far the only exception we have made for a newer car is the Alpine A110, since it is effectively a gen 2 model of the original. As such, I am not sure the R26.R will be allowed.

What’s the issue with the R26.R?
They’re all Dieppe spawned...
...is it age? Engine position? Driven wheels?

Agree, they all are built in Dieppe, but I presume it's their age and lineage since all other cars have either or both in favour of those requirements.......

UPDATE from the organisers.

Music Lineup Announcement!
We can't wait to celebrate 50 years since the legendary Woodstock festival at this summer’s Classic! In what we think might be the biggest Woodstock golden birthday party outside of North America, we’ll have seven bands performing at the Classic with strong musical links to the notorious festival in upstate New York; the festival that totally rewrote rock history.

REMINDER from the organisers:

"It's less than 5 months to go until the Classic! With our full grid line up in place, music announced and off-track entertainment filling up,there’s no better time to buy your tickets.

And there's not long left to take advantage of our Early Bird period! Ticket prices will increase after 31 March so grab yours before the end of the month.
"

So far we have 23 cars listed. Would be good if we can get the full compliment of 25 cars - 3 weeks to go before Early Bird tickets are withdrawn (at midnigh on 31st March). Do add your name to the list here once you have purchased your tickets.

I’d be interested in a Sunday ticket if anyone has a spare one from their package that they would like to sell on.
Hi Stephen, you should be able to purchase a CCD package for Sunday albeit the Early Bird discount has now expired. See second post in this thread for details.

Would be great to have you attend - which car are you intending on bringing to the event?

Three Le mans tribute twilight races have been added to the programme. which also celebrate Bentley's 100th anniversary.

https://petrolicious.com/articles/le-ma ... ne-classic

The annual Silverstone Classic is already host to a spectacular array of historic racing action, and for 2019 Le Mans racing legend Tom Kristensen will be adding to the excitement—he’s just announced three sportscar showdowns that will take place on Saturday evening under the ‘Twilight Tribute to Le Mans’ banner. This special homage to the world’s most iconic 24-hour endurance race will feature 150 cars spanning almost a century of racing, drawn from the Bentley Centenary Trophy for Pre-War Sports Cars, FIA Masters Historic Sports Cars and Masters Endurance Legends.

To recreate that special Le Mans magic at Silverstone, all three races will see the cars racing into the sunset in a mini-enduro format, with mid-race pit-stops for driver changes. “It’s going to be an absolutely amazing evening and a real crowd-pleaser,” predicts Nick Wigley, Silverstone Classic CEO. “The three races cover almost the entire history of Le Mans from the original ‘Bentley Boys’ right up to the current generation of hi-tech Peugeot and Aston Martin purpose-built prototypes. Watching them all race into the twilight will be very special for everybody attending the Classic this summer—and to have Tom Kristensen’s blessing is the icing on the cake!” The Bentley Centenary Trophy for Pre-War Sports Cars will be celebrating both the company’s 100th birthday with a record entry of Bentleys from the 1920s and 1930s and showcasing a variety of period Aston Martins, Alfa Romeos, Bugattis, Lagondas and MGs.

UPDATE

I have had confirmation that the Parade Lap, to commemorate Club Alpine Renault's 30th Anniversary, will be held on Friday, 26th July. Exact timings will be notified later but, same as last time, the parade lap will take place during the lunchtime break when no racing takes place.

I note that there are a few members who are not planning on being there on Friday (26th). As such, I have asked the organisers whether there is any scope for those who wish to take part to swap over to Friday. I will provide an update once I hear back.

Can I urge those who have not purchased their CCD packages as yet, but whose names are on the list, to purchase their tickets as soon as possible so that we stand a better chance of being allocated a good spot for our display area?

Note that all CCD packages will be withdrawn at midnight on 31st May.

UPDATE

I have now been informed that the Parade Lap, to commemorate Club Alpine Renault's 30th Anniversary, will be held on Saturday, 27th July. Exact timings are to be confirmed later, but I am told that it may take place either at lunchtime or in the evening. We will be notified closer to the date.

Note that all CCD packages will be withdrawn at midnight on 31st May.

MEMO from the organisers:

"This year we also have NW Valeting onsite and you may wish to pass this link onto your members in order for them to check out the various valeting offers they have running for members for 2019. http://leylandccc.com/silverstone-class ... t-booking/"

We now have 25 cars (Vees & Alpines) signed up, but would be great to have a few late additions to the list: Attendee List [smilie=yay.gif]

Note that CCD packages will be withdrawn at midnight on 31st May, which is exactly 4 weeks away.

Tried buying a Saturday ticket today however, they're all sold.

Does anyone wish to go either only the Friday or the Sunday?....if so a 2 day package can be purchased between us, you have the Friday or Sunday pass and I'll have the Saturday one.

.......and there won't be an issue in organising a separate display pass for their Vee.

Also, note that the cost will then drop to a rather modest £56 per party (i.e. 2 tickets) for the SAT/SUN package and £51 for the FRI/SAT CCD package.
