UPDATE
Now that 2018 is almost over, just a reminder that Super Early Bird tickets will be withdrawn at midnight on 31st December.

The Parade Lap poll has now ended with 91% of the voters stating that they are happy for Alpines to lead the pack on a parade lap around the F1 Circuit. However, we still need a minimum of 25 cars. I am waiting to hear how many Club Alpine Renault members will be in attendance.

We are also likely to have a few interesting additions to our display area from the Alpine stable. Anybody know of someone with an original A110 who will be interested in attending? ;)

Details of how to purchase tickets (CCD package) can be found in the second post.

I can’t see any Silverstone Classic thread on RAOC...?
Kett, I did send a text to Stephen enquiring about an original A110, but haven't head back. I haven't been on the RAOC site for months.

I’m rarely on there but thought I’d check. Were they your main calling point for Alpine attendees?

Club Alpine Renault (CAR) are celebrating their club's 30th Anniversary. In the past they have approached us, so thought it will be good if we can organise a parade lap to help them celebrate their anniversary.

Ah! Ok, that makes sense.
: )

For what it’s worth - the club packages are great value for money (early bird or not). I can’t see Silverstone Classic 2019 listed on either CAR or RAOC site, so I’m guessing it’s too far ahead!
CAR held their AGM in Northampton, so the core members are likely to be fairly local.

Yes, CAR are aware, and, as I understand it, have discussed it at their AGM. Hopefully the incentive of a parade lap should see more Alpines this year than the 3 or 4 we have seen in the past. I believe we will have at least 5, but, given that it is CAR's 30th anniversary, hopefully they will be able to muster a few more this year.

UPDATE from the organisers of Silverstone Classic

MAGICAL MINI MILESTONE

Brand new for 2019, the Classic will feature two record-breaking races to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mini. Expected to be the world's biggest-ever grid of racing Minis, this is one not to miss!

The Mini Celebration Trophy presented by Adrian Flux will star on all three days, with qualifying on Friday and two 20-minute showdowns on Saturday and Sunday. It's sure to be one of the highlights in store this summer!
Read more about this Diamond Jubilee celebration in our latest news.

Now that will be quite a sight. Oldskoolbaby, have you entered yours?

At last we have a Phase 1 - well done for signing up. :approve:

I am sure you will enjoy the experience.........

UPDATE
First a gentle reminder that Early Bird tickets will be withdrawn at midnight on 31st March, so just over 6 weeks to go.

Non-Vees now attending include a few present-day Alpine A110's as well, along with Alpine A310s, A610s and GTAs. Will try my best to get at least one example each from the different A110 models/specs that are on sale in the UK. We are also very likely to have an original V6 Trophy attending, which will be quite a sight on the parade lap. As such, this gathering may turnout to be a truly mixed display of Renault/Alpines the club has had at Silverstone Classic.

Indeed, if we can have at least one LY, Mars Red and Inferno (a long shot), then that will complete the Phase 2 line up. Don't think we will see James' Deep Bronze for a while......

HINT: Williams, we need a Lunar ;)7

EDIT: V6 Trophy No. 019 is now confirmed for all three days.

Sounds like a great line up in attendance Dulan..!! Always LOVED having Alpine's on our stand... great work! Thanks for the heads up regards, the tickets too. :ihatpcs: Shame its unlikely I'll have my A310 ready by then... I will have a V6 on show though..

Will be lovely to see Trophy [v6plaque]019[/v6plaque] on show! [smilie=yay.gif]

Well done for organising.

Indeed Shaun - pity your A310 will not be ready. Gotta see it sometime - when did you acquire it?

Well done Graeme - great to have yours along, which will bring some 'colour' to the line up....... :approve:

We now need a Mars Red.....and of course for more Phase 1s to join the party......

UPDATE

FULL GRID LINE-UP PROMISES TEN DECADES OF MOTOR SPORT HISTORY!
Provisional Race schedule for the weekend has just been announced.

So far we have 20 cars (16 Vees + 4 A110s) attending the event...........we need more Phase 1s.

I’m going to book my tickets tonight. I will be in the Lunar. I’m trying to bring the Tom Wilkinshaw Iliad Ph1 and a Mars Ph1. Would a nice R26.R be welcome on the stand?
