Clio Ricardo's Liquid Yellow 200 EDC

Called RS Tuning this morning and the Clio is booked in for a map tweak now I have the Clio back.

Sweepstake on bhp and torque :D

At the moment 226bhp 250ft/lbs torque

Just sorting bits out in preparation for the Clios mapping next Monday. It's booked in this Friday to have the secondary cat removed. Over the weekend I ordered an OBD reader and downloaded the Torque app, this will now enable me to read data like the charge temps and coolant temps. Now the Airtec FMIC kit is fitted I'm interested to see what figures it shows. Another figure I'm curious to read are the coolant temps, there have been suggestions that under prolonged heavy driving the water temps creep up. So with this app I should be able to see this.

Dropped the Clio off at Pipecraft in Basildon this morning, he came highly recommended through a couple of groups. Deleting the secondary cat should help a little and will also enhance the pop going through the gears similar to a DSG noise..... We'll see.

Gotcha

Also, do you think the ADO8Rs will be ok on the rollers or change back to the road tyres in which it was mapped in first time round?

Ended up refitting the OE wheels, it keeps the miles off the ADO8Rs. OBD reader arrives in the post so with the Torque App downloaded I can so see the live data for the intake charge temps of the Airtec FMIC setup. So far so good, around 6-7 degrees higher than ambient. At any time driving it doesn't go higher than 10 degrees above ambient temps. DSC_4466.webpDSC_4468~2.webp
Monday off work and a trip up to RS Tuning to map the Clio again, a cheeky pitstop at Mr Bond's house in Doncaster for a chat and a cuppa. Booked in for lunchtime and it's in for about an hour with a new figure of 240hp, so a 15hp increase.

Back home from Leeds, time to load up the track wheels for the next day's track time at Snetterton in Norfolk. A nice evening session booked by a friend Sash.

It's not looking too shabby, however......I've been popping into my local Renault dealer in Southend and they have the facelift 220 Trophy in the showroom. Over the last couple of weeks I've had to go in, and it keeps staring at me. Brand spanking new, 8 miles on the clock, 18 plate unregistered, black edition. I had to ask the figures, it was rude not to, I love the facelift, absolutely.

He crunched numbers, taking mine into consideration as a std part ex and it came out a little beyond reach. He gave me a figure to bring the monthly payments down nearer to where I'm more comfortable with, so now the ball's in my court as to what the next step is...
