renault megane rt

hi hope someone can help i have a renault megane rt 1.6 auto 1998
it has 80000 mile on clock just failed mot on emissions
hc......... 32ppm
co.......0.70
co2......14.22
o2........0.99
lambda...1.03
the car runs well has anyone any help dont know were to start
looking forward to your ideas

Well obvious first suggestion would be a fucked catalytic converter.

After that make sure basic ignition components - plugs and leads are in order.

If you're still having problems then it's the fuelling and you've got a sensor away somewhere, probably the lambda.
 
lambda value is a tad high i think.. leaky exhaust system maybe?

and co is supposed to be below 0.5 i think..
