I noticed that a fibreglass boot is produced and interested in feedback from everyone on quality, weight saving and option to retain std hinges etc

A decent weight saving at the rear would be not bad thing with 240odd kg of vag engine and box in the back

I've been looking at fibre glass panels too but I've not yet been able to find anyone in the UK who has them fitted. Seems to be more popular with the Italian sprint 5s.

What sort of weight saving would you gain from say the boot ? The panels on the five are thing anyway ?

This was part of the reason for asking, no idea of boot weight v fg version.

Expect poly windows would make more of a difference but as a road car not sure yet
