Been really busy with work, away for the last week too so my spare 2 days this weekend have been spent on family time. I have just managed to get the fuel sender swapped over for a gtt item. Looks like I can reuse the original feed as the return so i will need to run in a new feed when I put the pump in.
Fuel lines attached to the underside of the car, bracket for the fuel pump and filter here, fpr mounted, sandwich plate for the oil cooler on, carb on and I've started fitting the radiator. Still plenty to do yet though. I will probably go for minimal pipe work to get it running.
Good stuff Adey, good use of the available 38mins per day away from life duties
All these projects going on even I sorted my new garage out in some vain atempt to get something started
Probably strip down and final build of the track beast and play with some custon carbon panels.......along with a possible rx8 or another vx220 vag marriage
Running around in a friends aston martin atm while doing some upgrades and dam it makes me want a big cylinder car......not the mpg mind, yet to see 20 average on a tank
one thing i did notice actually that got me thinking, the fpr has a smaller fuel outlet to the carb than inlet from the tank. anyone looked at it as a restriction along the way? @Brigsy@Mart
I took the 8mm barb off the o.e regulator and fitted it onto the carb top when i fitted my malpassi reg. Probably not worth going bigger on o.e reg to be honest but if you have a spare reg nick the barb off it and change to 8mm.

The needle valve is more of a restriction mate, but unless you're planning on running over ~17psi boost, you shouldn't have the worry of emptying the float chamber.
Today I started fitting all the coolant hoses in then decided hey were I messy.... So then looked at moving the header tank to the drivers side. Still looked messy so I think I'm going to put it in the scuttle area, I'm also going to chuck the swirl pot up there to keep the bay clear. I know plenty move the header tank but has anyone move the swirl pot aswell?
Used my free 30min today to sort some wiring out, @Markey Mark BD sent me a scuttle loom, original plan was to swap the whole lot in but instead I just spliced the plugs I needed on. Extended the fan switch and wiring and soldered and heat shrank it all. Fan worked when tested but the aei didn't..... I'm getting positive and negative in the correct places so I'm guessing it's either knackered or the tdc sensor is.... Any ideas on how to check each item?
