Renault 11 Turbo Phase 2 Restoration

Am I allowed to say I dont rate c4 ? I put some on the meg plastics and it didnt really appear to do a great deal. I have some rejuvinate and that lasts around a month of so , but its a bitch to apply correctly.
Did you use it on the pillar plastic on the megane ? Nothing works on them to be honest only get a temp shine with bumper gel.

C4 is great check my clio dci thread, the plastics still look reasonable 18month later:D

Yes , yes I did !

I painted them in the end !

The best thing for them plastics is a coat of dodo juice red mist spray brings them up nice. Seriously though C4 is great on most softer plastics if you get me. Trins need to be cleaned off and prepared properly though.

Still rate Autoglym bumper gel for temporary shine. Back in the day when i done my gtt interior plastics with it everybody thought i had bought new it came up that good:D

Steve you are such a supernerd.
What??? :ai:
You mean not everyone is spending nearly a week to rebuild & repaint a windscreen washer assembly?? :ah:

Another box went through, this one was Engine Bay Parts:IMG_5466.webp
Lots of these parts need blasting/cleaning/coating/painting etc. so I'm just again picking out the best parts, and piling them up in various piles to work on.

Anti Perc Fan's. They both worked ok, but I decided to strip the worse one down to see if they could be re-built, short answer - NO :dy:IMG_5468.webp
IMG_5469.webp
Interestingly, both of the solenoids worked as well!! :declare.gif:
IMG_5480.webp
Next was the air filter boxes, one of the two was really bent out of shape and rusting badly, easy one this to pick the best..

Air Filter Bracket. I only have one of these, and thankfully it's all in relatively good condition:
IMG_5492.webp
This is what I'm doing with all the parts that need other work doing, stripping down and separating to piles for blasting/painting/replacing etc..

Box full of seals gone through.
IMG_5513.webp

Nice surprise to find a BRAND NEW OE ORIGINAL Rear Window Seal in the box I'd forgotten about:bo::IMG_5514.webp
IMG_5515.webp
Oh, AND a Front Windscreen seal as well :bp:
IMG_5516.webp

I've got two sets of seals from the doors of the car as I stripped the Red 11 many years ago, thankfully a lot of the stuff from that Red 11 are in fairly good condition. I laid out the two seals together to compare:
BOOT SEALS:
IMG_5517.webp
You can see that the outer one is ripped to shreds, so that one is going out..
IMG_5518.webp
DRIVERS DOOR SEAL:
IMG_5519.webp
Again the outer seal is ripped on one corner, so that one is out:IMG_5520.webp

PASSENGER DOOR SEAL:
IMG_5523.webp
Both these seals are in similar condition, just the OE Silver seal has some overspray from the damage repair that the car went thru many years ago, so that one was discarded:

Handbrakes:

Nice that one of the Handbrakes has a date stamp..

If you ever wondered what I am doing with all these discarded parts...? I can't bare to throw them away until I am SURE I don't need anymore, so I'm putting them in this spare Wheelie Biin we have:

It's filling up fast!! :ad:
