Registration

TO register for this event go to:

www.http://www.festivalrenault.com/

Then click on the Union Jack to get the english version.

Click on registrations.

Click on PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION

Fill in the details on the form. Once your car details have been entered a club registration code box will appear.

You can use the RAOC code 9RAOCL to save 20 euros on a weekend ticket. So that makes it only 40 euros for the weekend instead of 60. This is very very cheap for a proper manufacturers weekend festival. This is equivalent to £35, and allows entry for 1 car +1 driver and 1 passenger. (Basically the passenger goes free)

Completing the registration reserves you a place.

You then need to pay!! This would normally via a bank tranfer to Renault Classic which will normally cost £10-£20 depending on your bank thus undoing any saving made to date! As a result we have now made arrangements to pay Renault Classic collectively and only have one fee. But you must let us know once you have pre-registered so we can make sure the payment is made.

Payment to RAOC please on this guys, as its by far the most cost effective method. Details are:-

Option A - Paypal: [email protected] Gift or Personal Payment ONLY please!

Option B - Cheque for £35.00 made payable to RAOC, sent to;
RAOC,
Canada Wharf,
255 Rotherhithe Street,
London.
SE16 5ES

Thanks to Stephen Dell for organising the payment method and the registration instructions above.

Do your registration immediatly to ensure this event takes place on the biggest scale possible, you can sort out payment a little later if you wish but at the moment its the registration that matters.

Hi eastlmark,

Once we've registered & received confirmation from Renault that we've been accepted ( with details on how to pay etc ), how do we progress ?

I understand from above that we can pay collectively, so can we use:
Option A - Paypal: [email protected] Gift or Personal Payment ONLY please!

& inform you when we've paid that email address?

Many thanks in advance,

jim

Hi, Just to inform, I've paid the RAOC via paypal as well. I'm all set, booked a B and B about 25 mins drive from the circuit, all I need to do is book the Chunnel!

YES SADLY CANCELLED DUE TO NUMBERS

Dear all,

Further to the talks held during our March 24th meeting and given the level of subscriptions reached at the end of April, Renault has decided to postpone the date of the 1st Renault Festival from the 21st and 22nd of September 2012 to the 20th and 21st of July 2013.

Postponing the Renault Festival will allow us to move away from a very intensive period in terms of classic events during the second half of 2012 and will give you more time to prepare this event for which your contribution is essential.

The discussions we’ve had so far and the encouraging level of subscriptions – though not in line with the objectives we had agreed to – show that Renault enthusiasts throughout Europe support the Renault Festival project and approve the choice of the Linas-Montlhéry Autodrome as the first venue.

This is why the Renault Festival will naturally take place at this same location on July 20th and July 21st 2013.

Organising the 1st Renault Festival in 2013 will also coincide with the 115th anniversary of the Renault Company and reinforce federative appeal of this event.

Subscriptions for the Renault Festival will be open from November 2012.

We will get back to you very soon to study different possibilities for your Clubs to actively contribute to the Renault Festival and celebrate the 115th anniversary of Renault.

I have no doubt that Renault can count on your renewed commitment and enthusiasm.

Best regards.

Stephen NORMAN

PS : people who already subscribed will receive a message about refunding within the next few days.

For additional question : www.festivalrenault.com

Decision made perhaps a little too early as we are still nearly 5 months off and a lot of people (especially the French who won't all need hotels) will wait until closer to the time to sign up. Unfortunately I guess people will be put off booking for the next one in case the same thing happens again. However at the last meeting we were all promised full refunds including hotels if this happened. A shame.

Sent today to Renault

Dear All,

Obviously a real shame and we are very disappointed but can we please have your assurance that all the prospective UK participants will be fully refunded to include:

Registration fees
Currency transfer charges
Hotels
Eurotunnel
Ferries
Any other costs directly accrued

A lot of these advance travel bookings were made non-refundable by the operator to achieve the best rates.

Without this promise I’m sure we will find it difficult to persuade people to book for the re-scheduled event in 2013.

In any event I am sure potential participants for 2013 will unfortunately now delay registering until even later as a result.

Perhaps you could give participants the option to transfer their 2012 subscription to the new 2013 date?

Regards
Stephen
