Recommend car transport

Evening
Unfortunately my Vee won’t start. I’m fairly confident that it’s not a coil issues. The idle was fine plus when I drove it earlier and the engine seemed smooth therefore I’m fairly sure the starter motor has gone. The car really struggled to start earlier just about turning over and now won’t even do that. I’ve checked the battery and all electrics work and it shows 12 volts. Ironically I booked it in with Mark fish at the end of June but will have to bring that forward.
I’m looking at various transport companies are there any recommendations. Anyvan are quoting £97 which I think is fair but I want a company that will treat the car well

You can hire a car transporter for about £100 a day then you can do it yourself and have peace of mind. I've done it a few times, for me its the best way.

If you’re going to consider a recovery truck option - I’d choose a firm with a Low Approach Slide Bed truck. These are sometimes called SLA or ULA (super low approach or ultra)

Otherwise, trailers are pretty much universally good.

I’ve always thought that Vee owners should carry a set of Laser LAS5669 Low Rise Car Ramps (as well as spare coils) in case recovery is needed.

Thanks James, when I’m not able to move my own cars I always use Courtney Logistics.

It’s my friends company, he moves high end cars, he’s very trust worthy, takes great care and based in Essex.

Say you’ve been recommended by George with the V6’s

Bump start it and drive it :approve: take it when quiet in case you get into traffic and stall it, turn off the air on to reduce the risk!

Another starter motor failure I bet. Getting faintly ridiculous the number of those this year
and last!
I’ve bought a new battery today, will connect it tonight and see how if it starts. Won’t hold my breath though.
At least this arrived today

Big Al is a legend!

Bump started mine when starter went. Bit heavy so make sure you have a couple of strong friends to give a hand. 2nd gear and slight incline will be fine even cold.
