5 GT Turbo Raider refresh...

Yes have spot weld drill bit set ;)
Hope to have the rest of the car stripped this weekend and can remove the screen to find true scale of the rust, initial pics in my 11 years later thread

Cheers
DG
I failed to get my screen out intact. I have previously successfully done this before on another Renault 5 so I think I was a bit too cocky with it.
If there is a lot of sealant take your time!

A bit of clouding so going new screen anyway as part of build but have this one to use as point of reference and make sure surround good to accept the new one

Yeah. Cheers. You do need patience! You cant beat a bit of spanner work. Painting stuff is satisfying though and it can be expensive to get done by someone else. There is a fair bit of trial and error to get to grips with but then there is youtube which wasnt around when i first started f@rting about with spray guns. The other side is some paint is extremely bad for you so you need ventilation and decent breathing gear.

I need shot of the wife for a few hours so i can crack on again!
:aa:

I will post a wanted add but I need a couple of bits...
Indicator ends (just the bits that hold the bulbs) I don't mind paying but I got a reply on Facebook wanting £35 which is a bit steep (I think he wanted to sell complete loom maybe). The indicators on now just ain't cool at all.
I also need a petrol cap.
