Megane R26 coil pack order please?? Rough idle & engine vibration after spark plug change

Hi all,
Please can anyone confirm the coil pack order on the Megane R26? I had my spark plugs changed last week but I'm not sure the mechanic took notice of the order of the coil pack. The car is now vibrating like mad and I can feel it through all the pedals, even when idle. The higher the revs, the more vibration I seem to get.

The problem has just started since I had the work done,....the car was fine before.

I don't really understand the numbering system which is commonly used e.g. 3 4 2 1 etc. So I might need a dummy explanation

If I upload a photo of the coils on my engine could you guys confirm if any of them are in the wrong place?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jp

Yep that's the one :ag:

Is it located to the far left of the engine bay, under one of the black panels ......near to the coolant bottle ie. this one:

I could get my finger in the gap at the top of the mount very easily. Does changing the mount require a crane or something to support the engine?

Is this one on Renault parts direct the top dog bone mount: Renault Megane 225 / R26 Engine Mount | Renault Parts Direct -- I read that changing this can make a real difference too.

Do I need to get a new seal before the cleaning the Throttle body? I read a guide saying that they can perish quite easily one you take it out. The guide also mentioned that the black hose above the throttle body can either be prised off but it tends to snap very easily, and the new part costs £50 from Renault. Or the second option is to cut the pipe that connected to the throttle body and to the air system and replace it with a silicon hose afterwards. Any advice?

Thanks again in advance.

Jack and block of wood under the sump to support the engine. Very easy to change.

Change that first leave the throttle body for now. I only cleaned it as the idle was up and down like a yoyo. I took it off and refitted it without replacing anything, will be fine if you are careful.

You cannot tell how short of fuel the cylinder is getting. I would always look after injectors and at the first sign of issue sort them right out

Quick question Andy, does the CLiP thing say which cylinder is misfiring? I did a bit more investigative work with mine today. Unplugging each coil in turn made it run like a bag of bolts. Seemed to idle OK though with everything plugged in just the occasional misfire heard from the exhaust when next to it. More worryingly it seems to occasionally sound like its misfiring with the revs up at 1500, 2100 or so and a bit higher which tallies with my feeling that the car is slightly down on power compared to how I remember it. When I say occasionally I mean every few seconds or so. Car drives great but its clearly not 100%.

I am not 100% convinced thats a injector. It sounds more like a degrading TDC to me.

Thanks Andy, that would also explain why she seems to not misfire when cold but gets worse at idle the hotter the engine is. I had a dropping out crank angle sensor on the Porsche, it drove us crazy as the car would cruise along fine but after 15 min at race speed would start to cut out then cut out completely and only start up again after being allowed to cool down. Wouldn't surprise me if the Megane started doing similar. Its annoying because the car was like this after its last trip to the garage but as she sailed through the MoT with perfect emissions and is drivable I guess no one noticed anything untoward.
