Peter - can QS quieten the standard system you and Ant have a little more? I'm not keen on having something that's boomy in the cabin at speed as I do a fair few long m/way journeys.

Is the group buy price closing this Friday still?

I think this may be hard for them to do. I also think the group buy WILL close this Friday. BUT I will ask tomorrow when I speak to QS tomorrow (not got much time today at work...).

Peter :D

JJ, I reckon you should stay with what you have. It is 'boomy'. I have a feeling you are not going to like it.

A pair of these fluffy things might sort out your problem JJ :)

Went to Renault today to get some new clamps and rubbers and guess what, Either they didnt have a clue or just wanted to give me a rimming.

Quted me £65 per clamp and £20 per rubber :?

Went to a little motorparts place where my mate works and it cost me £5.65 for 4 rubbers and 2 clamps.

If anybody is having trouble getting the Clio v6 exhaust rubbers then just ask for mondeo/orion ones there exactly the same.

The clamps could be a bit more of a problem tho as Bosal have stopped making the single bolt ones.

The clamps i got look exactly the same and are listed on a Kangoo aswell as numerous other clios.

Was a good job I got down on my hands and knees to see what the rubbers looked like as the 2 holding the right hand side of the exhaust had completely snapped leaving the exhaust to bash the sh*t out of my bumper and removesome of the paint.

All I need now Is my QS exhaust.

How fiddly are the screws that hold the grills in, took my longer to put that back min than it did to replace the rubbers.

Arse I just paid £20 for a new rubber!

Oh well at least the zorst is popping and banging like a good un.

The sound is getting better and better! Its mellowing nicely. 8)

Better to pay £20 for a rubber than say you have a Mondeo. It is not worth it.

Ant, Is your zorst note developing? Or are we going deaf!

I'm sure its the former! 8)

I can't wait to drive home!

im gonna ring QS tomorrow as i simply cant miss out on this group buy..

my only thing is...normal or OMG argrhh...i rarely travel anywhere over 20miles on the motorway (if at all) unless im going away somewhere for a weekend or a show etc..and spend most of my time simply posing about.

I can only hope QS will take maybe £150 deposit until early next month when i'll be more able to pay the rest without resorting to mastercard again

Can the pops be heard by following cars? (I'm guessing you haven't got out and asked people following you though ;))

Peter, yes. I drove mine back at 140mph just to give it a better chance of bedding in louder. Scott said it will get louder as time goes on as well as the baffles become worn.

Miketheman2k! I really have no idea – but I would imagine the answer is yes. Will know on Thursday :D

Colin, don't know what to say? Standard is loud but for some it won't be loud enough. The Quicksilver is no where near as loud as my decat Bell and Colvill system I had on my Lotus and that really did sound good. I'd just hate to encourage someone to go for the OMG and them hate it.

Tim, That's what it is for :)

Guys all I can say is get one! The fit and finish is superb and the noise from people behind is (apparently) awesome. Pops and bangs in second when warm on the over run, sounds as if the engine is getting agressive especially inthe tiresome town driving mode, then when you give it whelly she opens up beautifully. Full throated ROAR! Forget the stereo, anything under 3000rpm is boomy, everything over sounds like a scalded cat on a tin roof. After the induction kit, the urgency would only be increased with a lightened flywheel a la Ferrari!!!!.....next project!!!!!
