Give me a call when it is on. Scott said he is going to make you stand on a plastic sheet when he starts it up ;)

Have you thought about removing the centre panel that covers up most of the tiny exhaust box?

Yeah I have thouht about it. BUT i'm not a polisher so will probably not bother. I want "her" to look "stock".

For all the other lurkers: Before and after video clips (as well as pics) will be taken and i'll post them up early this evening.

Cheers
Peter

Thanks, Ant. Want to give as much advice to garage when I take the car in to get it fitted. Can’t wait!

Ant, can you save me the trouble of reading through this whole thread by giving me Scott at SG Motorsport contact details.

He's done a neat alignment job on the exit pipes. There was talk earlier of fitting stainless steel heat rings to the circular exists to protect the paint. Any signs of blistering paint?

Cheers bud!

Here you go:

Mobile 0776879560

I have not had a close look to see if the paint is blistering. Not sure that you will tell yet anyway as we are only talking about a few hundred miles so far.

Mine is going into the shop to have some paint tidied up when I get back so I'm not really that worried about it– which reminds me, I need to go off and get a quote for it. Might drag myself off my man flu sick bed and venture out...

Just a quick note from the internet cafe at the gym (full info will be posted later when I get home).

Feck me its quite loud. Its acceptable BUT I'd not want it any louder on the motorway.

Sounds nice around town. Much more agressive. Far better suited to the car than the standard box.

You do get a few pops on the over-run.

For the OMG mentalists.... well you did ask for it!

ant...PMSL at the poor woman in your car!!

either that or your good at multi tasking ;)

sounds very nice..hard to make out though

OK so feedback thus far.

Note much deeper and a fair bit louder at tickover. As soon as you start it up you will smile and say thats more liek it! 8)

On the motorway it seemed a bit boomy at lowish revs with wide throttle openings. BUT cruising (using cruise control) at normal motorway speeds is OK. Jam the throttle open to overtake and it does roar. Basically for the motorway I would not want it louder than this. The "OMG version" is for the brave only IMO.

When you open it up it does make a lovely noise as the revs rise. Not been out for a rag yet tho.... I'll have more to say later after a blast tonight.

Peter :D
