ProSpeed price is inc VAT and includes design, materials & fitting. I've asked about a group buy discount and hope to hear back soon...

£600 is still a LOT for a back box IMHO :shock: ...and I have a feeling different people will want different things (look, sound, etc.) which ProSpeed can offer.

As per Ant i'd lean towards Quicksilver BUT I think what we really need to know now is info on discounts from Prospeed. With travel both are currently costing out at just over £600 (with fitting, VAT and travel).

IMO still a very good deal tho. I need more noise! :twisted:

Is the prospeed more pipe? Something about the way JJ wrote that post suggests more than just the back box.

Ant - there's the option to add performance cats afterwards using 2 instead of the stock 4. But the price quoted is just for a backbox.

We only need two more people who want one of these amazing sounding 'snap crackle and pop' exhausts that make the Vee sound like it originally should of instead of a V6 Laguna. They won't be around at this price too often.

I'd guess 1 or 2 BHP. The manifolds, cats, other zorst pipes, collector box etc are also likely to be restrictive. Needs to be rolling road tested before and after really. For full gains you need a new full exhaust system. Thing is that costs just under £2,000 (inc VAT)fitted :shock:

Should be lighter tho. The standard Renault back box is HUGE and heavy!

Anyway who cares it'll sound faster!

The sound should make a massive difference to the ownership experience. When I had my Lotus it sounded 'weedy' until I sorted out the exhaust. Will be the same on the Clio – stop it sounding like a gay girls car and like the mid engined super mini it really is.

I'm tempted but really can't justify that cost. If you can talk them into a bit more of a reduction or a few others come in on the deal then I'd say yes, but at the moment it's more than I want to spend.

We can try for more of a discount only when we have 5 in place. They are not going to offer more reduction to 4 people. Stop ya quibbling over the price of 1-2 tanks of gas!
