I'm new here, but have just ordered the qs backbox as part of the group buy.
Guess I'll be last,
to experience the blast!
I'd be grateful to know from the first few trialists whether stainless steel heat rings for the circular exits are important.
ps I ordered lilly-livered "standard" livery.
you do not need to touch the plastic undertray, changing the box is a straight forward enough task,if you can take the old one off,you will be capable of putting the new one back on. just watch the bumper holes were the exhaust comes out through ,use masking tape here or you can scrape the bumper.if someone can give you a hand to hold the weight it would make it a lot easier ,but i have done it on my own using a trolly jack to support the box. make sure the car is on axle stands or similar as the handbrake and the gears only lock the rear wheels and they will be off the ground.miketheman2k":1uautx74 said:Has anyone fitted a new backbox themselves? Is it just a case of removing the plastic undertray and undoing some clamps?

If I get the QS would I be able to call over and get you to help me fit it? A chance to get a drive in the MK2 as well!
