So,, I picked it up Sunday of the sister of the previous owner who had stored it since 2003, I was told it had a flat battery but assured it started, on viewing I couldn't get it to start but it was turning over so I bought it, cosmetically it's pretty damn good and underneath looks rock solid, it's going to need a tailgate though as the original is rotted around the screen, there are a couple small areas that will need some touching up/ blowing over but in the usual places sills etc it's really good, it's sitting on 70k with all the history stamped up service book and a receipt for a new gearbox before being put away for 12 yrs, anyway I have spent the last couple days cleaning, charging the battery fresh fuel, and it starts first time, sounds sweet and no overheating issues, standard exhaust too.
List of jobs
New brakes all round,
Full service
Then mot
Then cosmetics
Here's the progress so far

Yep bar the obligatory 90's forge dump valve, battery tray is all good, however it has the anti perc fan in place but no sensor for it sitting in the heat shield so it's possibly got a ph1 heat shield on it?

Impressive. You got a steal then!

Sounds like it could be. Your not missing much though without the sensor.

Just trying to figure out where the wiring has gone of the loom for the sensor that sits in the heat shield, and the previous owners sister said you were a top bloke aswell
