The government is trying to push through massive changes to the way the planning system works. Swathes of pristine countryside and vital green fields around our towns and cities could be put in jeopardy.

If these plans are rushed through they could put the interests of big developers ahead of the local people. We can’t let that happen. Our planning system should ensure local voices are heard and work to protect our green areas for future generations. Once we lose our countryside, we lose it forever.

Let's ask the government to tackle the big causes of house shortages. Such as not building enough, quality housing, well planned in the right places, and cuts to affordable housing.

A huge petition will force the government to rethink their plans. If we can prove how strongly the public are against this, they will have to back down. Please sign the petition now.



This is a cause I believe in and is affecting me right now. The local council wants to pave way for 600 new houmes to be built on green belt land near where we live. As residents we were not informed until last week when a neighbour got word from a friend at the council. In three days we have gathered over 2000 signatures against this development. And up at the council offices tonight for a mass demo

'Bout time they did something about the dozens of friggin empty offices around my neck of the woods.Been empty for years and they go and build another bloody great one right next to them,that again will sit empty for Christ knows how long :roll:

There is shit loads of brown field around here,but no,they want to build fuck off great expensive houses,that none of the kids who have lived here all their lives could never dream of owning and they want to build them on greenbelt land,so the privileged few,get to see a lovely view,away from the rif raf

We constantly have the bullshit excuse from developers around here,that they will incorporate affordable housing into their schemes,just to get planning permission.Once they get it,they back track and say that due to unforeseen costs,the affordable part will have to be shelved until the next project........

whats happening to the police station round there? was it being pulled down for housing?

Ahh the 'Key site'.
Yes thats being pulled down,but so far the council have resisted the developers plans to build luxury apartments there,like they have on the corner by Sainsburys (Another site that was to have affordable housing :roll
Spose it depends how much money the council are willing to spend to keep rejecting the plans,or who's palms get greased (Allegedly) :lol:
