Ph2 no 019

I`m the very happy new owner of Phase 2 no 019! Bought from fellow forum member Sam. After a couple of phone conversations, I was confident that I was dealing with a genuine honest enthusiast to hire a car and drive from Southampton to Stoke yesterday and drive the lovely Vee back home. 019 has been extremely well cared for and a credit to Sam and is as good as i`d hoped it would be. Couldn`t resist turning off the motorway as I got to Winchester to drive some great roads around the Meon Valley. Already I feel the Vee has more fun factor than my old 1987 911 3.2 Targa that I recently sold.

Congrats!

I remember seeing this one on PH and contemplating it when I was on my search for a Vee.

Enjoy :-)

Welcome joel
I had a similar experience driving my back from up north:-)
Where abouts in soton r u ? Im often down that way

Thanks Duncan.
I`m based near city center Southampton. Are there many Vee`s in the South? I often go to the breakfast club meets at Goodwood. Are many other club members local?

Yeah, there's a good old clan of us in the south and the goodwood breakfast clubs are regularly attended by club members.

We do meet up quite regularly in the summer months. Keep an eye in the events part of the forum when the weather gets better.

My v6 requires a minor service soon, can anyone recommend a good specialist in the Southampton region? Loving the Clio v6 so much, what an amazing and exciting car. This forum`s pretty good too! Coming from the motorcycle world a mint 87 911 Targa didn`t hit the spot that the Clio does. Wouldn`t be surprised that many v6 owners are bikers also.

I know its a treck but :S G Motorsports !!!!!! All the time as most on here would agree !! I am REALLY lucky as he is 20 mins from me and is SUCH a nice bloke

Is Ren Tec still on the go in Portsmouth?
Yep ... absolutely is, and I got Mike to do a quick oil service and sort my MOT just last week. Mike's ex-Renault and was the only person I ever let work on my Vee whenever it went into the dealer when he was still there. Thereafter it never went to the dealer again ;), and I've only ever been to either Rentech or SG.
