PC Based XR25 USB Cables

Well thats not right :/

Can you check the wiring on the board for me?

The usb cable connects to the board with 3 wires,

O-BLACK
O-NOT CONNECTED
O-RED
O-NOT CONNECTED
O-YELLOW
O-NOT CONNECTED

On the other side we have 2 wires going to ground and diag, ground should be pin 2 on the connector and diag pin 9. Maybe i soldered them the wrong way??

Just checked the wiring and it appers that's ok. All wires are soldered on correct locations. What else could be the problem? Can I check the resistance of joints/wires with multimeter? Found the datasheet for the BC557B, do you think it could be at fault?

Have you contacted the local/regional post offices to see if they have a package for you?

Some questions on XR25 pc

Firstly im new to the forum and have been a Renault fan for many years. I now do part time diagnostics on cars and early Renaults have always been a problem on most non OEM scanners.
I have half built an xr25 interface but ive struggled to find much info on what it actually will do.
For example, i want to connect to transmission systems and regularly on a mates 1997 Laguna with the 12 pin plug and K,L lines on pin 10 and 11.
My current interface design doesnt use K,L is there a newer version that does?
Will the standard XR25 work on transmission of a R25 with either MJ3 or AD4 series that have diagnostics on different pins on the socket?
Most of the posts ive read only relate to the engine side of things and not much about the change over cars when they went to K,L before obd2?
Any links or info would be much appretiated

there´s an 3.25 version of the xr-25 pc software. It´s fully working !!!!. on XP !

Yeah there is many newer versions but they dont offer anything new for the older cars using the 12 pin connector so i stuck with 1.83

Software downloaded, is it as easy as just buying the cable and plugging it in to the car and laptop and away we go? I have read the thread but technology always seems to get the better of me lol
