Clio oops I did it again... Adey's Clio 200 EDC

Well I made it back. Whole slew of new fault codes stored.

I've ordered the voltage regulator from rpd so that's the next thing in the parts cannon.

Output when loaded looks OK and sits at 14.4 with the lights on.

Cleared all the codes and went to drive it... got stuck in the middle of my road.

Any input on the faults is appreciated

To top it off the fabia 2 vrs is off the road awaiting me to strip the front off to replace the radiator, so it looks like the 57 year old R8 will be pulled into daily duties until I sort one of them...

I'd be having a good ferret round wiring, especially batt monitor, Megvan slung a good few faults up when I had issues, fair enough most pointed to charging, but with box being semi auto, I can't see it taking kindly to voltage drops/spikes.
Dunno how similar set up is to a dci S/S Meg, but it's similar age/architecture??

Battery replaced

battery current sensor replaced

Still no change.

Had a disconnect of some wiring looms and cleaned them off, couldn't see anything wrong with a light browse. Kicked its head on for a while and just as I was heading home it went into limp mode again. The search continues but I'm leaning toward a failing TCU (or the capacitor in it)

Capacitors are ordered but may take a few weeks to get here (will see if I can get some quicker through work) I'm also conversing with some of the Chinese suppliers to see if I get get a back door TCU at a quarter of the price. Looking around a few have had good success with this. From what I can gather they are all built and assembled over there anyway and you are just buying them before they hit the usual supply chain to Renault.

TCU ordered, and have seen they offer the clutch packs for the Ford variant, wonder if they do a Clio specific one too. What funny is they look like the LUK clutches including the packaging, but you get it "unbranded". for a small fee they will box and brand them as whatever you want lol.

Clio 200 rs items i believe, so meg 2? I'm not too clued up on them tbh

I have been reading up on your build. Think this video might help on tcu fitting

Also, these gearbox issues are few and far between, not many actually have them that im aware of. My cars now on 113k and has been mapped up with hybrid turbo for the last 20k easy. If this fixes my issue ill be sure to shout about it (y) It wouldn't put me off buying another
