Yep - this is my Vee so I know a bit about it...

You can find a load more photos of the refurb work and current condition here.

Drop me a PM or a text if you want to know more - my number's in the ad both on here and on PH.

[post]229773[/post] Shame it’s in bloody Belfast tho !!!

Contrary to popular belief, Belfast could hardly be easier to get to - it's under an hour's direct flight from Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Carlisle, Doncaster, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Inverness, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Newquay and Southampton. I'll even offer a lift from the airport to go see the Vee for any prospective buyer who makes the trip - so don't let bloody Belfast put you off!

Really good pictures, are those undertrays/covers new or did they just clean up well?

Also, whats the box underneath the drivers seats, is that an addition you have made?

That box is for the tyre foam spray cans (from the previous picture).

The undertrays are original. Lots of degreaser and elbow grease!

But is that standard? Obviously there is the one in the boot, but didn't realise there is one underneath the passenger seat?

It's shown in the parts diagrams so appears to be standard.

Items 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 here.

I've never actually looked under the seat of any other Vees to check though!

My later Vee had the bottles just strapped to the floor behind driver’s seat.

A great buy, at a great price!

Don't let the geographical location put you off...........snap it up, quick..

PeterT car looks stunning and factory fresh. I wouldn't want to sell it after so much time and effort gone in to the restoration.
Will be a great buy for whoever gets it :approve:

You missed the bargain of the week on AT yesterday
Silver PH2 on 34k - £24995.
Now advertised on AT @£34k just 1 day later.

In all seriousness - current ads are at my rock bottom price point.

If no takers at this point within the next month or so I’ll be taking off the market, changing tack and holding onto her for the medium/long term.

Personally I can’t fathom that any serious buyer of a car this rare would be put off by the idea of a trip to Belfast but I do wonder if that’s part of the issue. I may look at selling from a mainland base in any future attempts. I may also look at returning suspension and seats to full OEM prior to any future sale.

Being honest I struggle to really enjoy driving the car these days having put so much effort into the refurb but on the flip side I’m not in any real rush so if the market currently doesn’t meet my expectations I’m not too worried!

It does seem to be very well priced.

I don't think that the suspension or the seats would be an issue for a buyer as they are pretty standard, and reversible, modifications; particularly if you could include the originals in the sale. That being said, if you ever decide to get rid of those seats, let me know!

I'm also going to have a look under my passenger seat!

I wouldn't have thought the location would be too much of an issue either. With cars of this style, ie low productions numbers, buyers cant just wait and hope one pops up locally that matches their requirements. They should be open to travel.

Perhaps its just a general lack of prospective buyers.
The ones that are for sale don't seem to be moving even when the prices are average.

Prices have dropped, most of the cars for sale for ages are over priced IMO. There are a fair few buyers out there. I still get people asking me to help find a car for them, mostly happens via Instagram these days! They all want Liquid Yellow!

The V6 was the first car to have Liquid yellow alongside the 182 , it's just a shame that it was only introduced for the last few months of production in 2005 so not many people ordered it then. The original owner of my car actually order inferno orange on his order form but as production was ending he was told no but there was a Liquid Yellow unallocated so he took that. He then got a good discount! I suspect if it were on sale now at least a third of them would be liquid yellow.
