New project....

Looks sweet(y) perfect sleeper with a couple of mods. If the lump is a detuned version of the 225 it should be able to go up to 280+hp with a few bolts ons and good map:D

I like it. Not sure id go for one over the S60 though.
where as i would never of even looked at an s60..... horses for courses..... room for the hounds, room for the boy and his crap, towbar for the ship and sat nav to stop her moaning at me for getting lost...

plus get it re-map'd and Megan can stay in the garage looking nice ;-)

Sorry, I should have said V70 D5...I picked my S60 up as it was the right price at the right time. Given the choice again I would have held out for the big estate V70.

I'm Renault through and through you know that but the big Volvo just beats it hands down in pretty much every respect for a daily chugger/cruiser/motorway eater/load lugger/tow car. That D5 lump is absolutely fantastic. And I have legroom, Moggy. LEGROOM. Thats a new concept for a lanky stickathon like me!

haven't done anymore tbh as i've been pushing to sell my Discovery

but now thats gone... its full speed ahead

got bored so when through Dialogys

compared to my 225, only thing i can find that is different is the exhaust cam..... @andybond

know anyone that knows the difference???

image.webp image.webp Well nothing goes to plan.... Does it?

Went on week last Wednesday to have new key cards, cambelt and rear bushes...

Get a call Wednesday from my mate who I I trust from my old renault days

"You need to come down and see this"

:help.gif:

To say that the guy I bought it off and had good mate look over it and service it at the main dealer where he works.... Shocking

Cambelt was 5 years past being changed..
Alternator idler pulley was cracked
Bottom ball joints where so bad they fell out
Osr caliper didn't work
To engine torque support was so worn out there was no rubber bush left
And the rear subframe bushes where so bad they had started to bend the studs......

And to finish me off.... My megane snapped a front coil spring on the way down...:ireful2.gif:

So I get the laguna back on Friday night as he's doing all the extra work between jobs

So that's too bad I hear you say

Well not if your driving to the south of France on the Saturday :bj:

So, having driven it to from the garage, 4 am Sat morning we, Mrs moggy and mini moggy, all headed for Dover, Stopped the night near paris,
And today Sunday arrived in Toulouse

And she didn't miss a beat

:ar:

Stay tuned for the return journey. Via Disney soon:af:

It flies... Got asked if it was a v6 that I'd turbo,'d by a French guy in a 275 megane

Proper sleeper to.... Think if I'd kept the speed down I'd of seen 33-35.... And if the Mrs hadn't filed the boot to the roof!!!!!

I quite fancy one of these as my next daily. Or a Mazda 6 MPS maybe. How's the grip Moggy any good?

its not too bad... haven't pushed it too hard as i was mainly motorway cruising, and having only driven it a grand total of 5miles before I started her up on sat morning and drove to france

tyres are budget specials.... so it will be better once there is some quality on there...
