New project

Id still need the pistons machining , downpipe , ecu , conversion throttle thingy , turbo , 1.7 gtx mounts ..

I guess I would be better buying it all as a lump ..

Chris,

is the engine without the verniers for the 21 ? Just wondering because if its for the clio the turbo needs an 180?.

Yeh, the one without verniers is for the 21, the turbo was on for measuring up for going in the quadra, the turbo is set up for the clio the other way up.

lol, i know :p

btw, these engines do 240 atw with 360 Nm at 14 psi. Without cams and forged pistons. Patrick used laguna pistons in his (oem renault). Thats the white 5 gtx.

240 atw is good, wonder how much extra loses there are through the 4wd on the quadra, i weighed the arrow rods compared to the standard ones, they are 200 grams lighter each rod, thats a lot at 7000rpm, pistons are lighter too.
not sure on what to do wirth the clutch yet, its gonna take some punishment being 4wd, any ideas?

ive choosen for the Tilton, single plate. Strongest in his size (185) and good for nearly 660 Nm. Not the cheapest but quality item (740 €).

There is also another problem you have to solve Chris. The UN7 got another spline pattern then the JC5's. You gonna need another primaryshaft.

Was thinkin i would use a 200mm clutch plate that suits the 21, ttv have suplied a 215mm for the 21 motor i'm using in the turbo2 maxi, they can make a fly wheel to suit but it costs, i wanted to look at other options before i spend ?1200 on flywheel and clutch.
