Hi,

New to the club. Just bought my first V6 Ph1 as it was a car i always wanted through my teens and so far it has not disappointed.
Looking forward to chatting with you all and learning more about these special cars.

Ross

Welcome aboard Ross, and great to hear that you bought the car you always wanted.

Would be super if you can post details and pictures of your new acquisition - what plaque number is it?

If you have any questions do ask away.......

Enjoy!

Welcome Ross and congratulations on the purchase! Great fun cars that really get under your skin, hope it lives up to your expectations.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

It is plaque number 74.
The car is listed as a category D, I have had the repair inspected and all looks good. Car is in overall very good condition and unmolested.

It has covered 50,658 miles which i believe to be genuine as all mot history stacks up.

I will upload some pictures shortly as i have the car in the garage getting some minor work carried out before I use as my Sunday driver (wheel refurbishment, detailing etc).

I would like some Advise regarding tire size, car is on 225/45 r 17 Michelin front & 235/45 zr 17 Conti on rears. Am i best going back to the factory spec of 205/50 zr 17 on fronts? Any advice will be appreciated.

Many thanks

Ross

It's never a good idea to mix compounds on a car, especially two that potentially have different levels of grip. As such, if it was my car, I would look at replacing all four with Michelin Pilot Sport 4's. As regards, the tyre size and profile options, the Phase 2 is much happier with OEM fitment. I am sure a Phase 1 owner will come along shortly with suitable advice.

Hint: if you prefix the plaque number with a #, you will automatically create a link to the details of that car, as stored in the V6 Register. So here's the link [v6plaque]074[/v6plaque].

:welcome: Ross and congratulations on your new purchase I'm sure you'll enjoy the whole experience with the vee.

Where about in Lancashire are you based? I'm over in Rishton near Blackburn ;)
