My Evo 4 for sale.

Due to me already spending too much money on the Evo and it now needing a transfer box, I've decided to cut my losses and sell it. Don't want to but just can't justify spending more money on it, plus it was used as a daily runabout for my Mrs and I think she's finally realised that putting petrol in it everytime you even think about going out in it has made her realise it might be a tad thirsty as a daily runner.

TBH mate, it's my second baby after my 21, but they're not cheap on the up keep, instead of costing ?10 here and ?50 there, it's more like ?300 here and ?500 there. If I could keep it I would and have it as a second car, but 6 days out of 7 it would be sitting there as dead money.
A new transfer box in the region of ?350, but then you have to take the risk of that second hand transfer box being any good. The Evo 8 rear diff cost me ?350 last year, but that was the luck of Ebay, standard Evo 4/5/6 diffs go for ?400. I would replace the transfer box myself but at the end of the day I'm not going to make much more money than what I've got it advertised for anyway. So it's time to cut my losses I'm afraid.

Hi Matt, seen the ad on Piston Heads, looks like a nice clean motor - always fancied one myself but i have trouble finding time to drive my 21 & at least that costs f**k all to maintain & wasn't expensive in the first place....

Good luck with the sale..

By the way, are evo's as quick as they say..??

Yep, mine keeps pushing you and pushing you. You doing 30mph and you can feel the car trying to do 50mph so you do 50mph then it wants to go 80mph. I've had it sitting at 150mph on a few occasions (on a private road) and it just sits there like a normal car does 70mph.
