Other ( non boosted Renault ) mk1 megane cluster no lights

So bit of a odd one my mums mk1 megane "her third one" has started to have electric issues ohhh frenchies anyway dash lights dont work when the headlights are on one rear doesnt for fog and one sidebeam doesnt tried replacing bulbs on all fuses nothing only thing i can think is she drove it with no alternator for a while and kept changing batteries it would missfire when at 9 volts so could a low voltage problem of caused this ?

Any number of issues could cause it..

But I would just guess it’s a corroded connection somewhere in the engine bay fuse panel area not sending the power.

Thanks for your contribution ill have a look under that pannel tomorrow the one next to battery right

Yes sir.

You need to check some of the multi-plugs and See if the corrosion has got to the terminals and not sending the power. A quick way to check is use a multimeter and do a continuity test on the two ends of the wires going thru the plugs to check the connection is sound.
