Megane MK1 Mégane coupé SWAP Clio 172 Tracktoy from France

Hi,

Let me show my track build even if it's a non turbo build .... for the moment.
I build the car myself during year 2018 and 2019.

From scratch it was a 1.4 16V 95ch coupé, now the car made 180hp, 940kg. I use it only for trackdays.

- Engine : F4R 736 with "cup" remap
- Gearbox : JC5 090 with RSX torsen and short main gear ( 14X69)
- Eletronics : i stripped the oem electronic loom to keep only what i need !
- Interior : Completly stripped
- front axle : Cup intrax coilovers, laguna hub, 280mm brakes, pure motorsport anti-roll kit, welded subframe ...
- rear axle : Scenc rear axle, with more camber and bearings upgrade, 238mm rear brakes from Clio 172
- Brakes : 23,8 master cylinder, no abs, full braided lines, but disks and brakes are from the scrapyard 😂

I've done about 20 trackdays with no issues at all, the car is really briiillant to drive ... but ... i need more power and this is why i'm here !

I would like to put a F4RT engine on it, i should get a F4R 764 from Laguna 2.0T 165. my project is to transform it into 225 and optimize it a little. The goal would be to have 250hp reliable and a constant torque of 350nm

Hi,

the engine block has been checked, everything is correct.

I still don't know if I install 225 or 250 pistons.
250 parts are way more expensive but are also more solid
If you have an opinion on the matter, I'm interested.
 
Love the old megane coupes, used to have a phase 1 f7r in williams blue. Enjoyed driving it a lot.

225/230 rods and pistons are solid for 300bhp, guess that is more then enough in the small coupe.
If you planned to do more then 250 stuf is the way to go!
